Book Details

Country: UK
Language: English
Genre: Modern Fiction
Publisher: Eel Pie Puiblishing
Publication Date: 2005

Fictional Artist: Ray High
Genre: Rock
Country: UK
Real World Analogue: Pete Townshend. The character of Ray High originated with Psychoderelict, a conceptual music project released in 1993 that mixed spoken word drama with songs and musical sections. High is a washed up rock star who's been a recluse for a couple of years, fantasising about an abandonded musical project called Gridlife. Gridlife was very much based on Townshend's fated Lifehouse project from the early 70s, and whose demos reappeared in Pyschoderelict. The Boy Who Heard Music was released as a novella on Townshend's website in 2005, and then became the Wire and Glass suite on on The Who’s 2006 album Endless Wire.
